Horse behaviour consultations (on property)
Behaviour problems in horses can not only be frustrating, they can be very dangerous. As a veterinarian studying a residency programme in veterinary behavioural medicine, Dr Sally Nixon understands that each individual’s behaviour is a result of numerous factors. Therefore, such factors leading to the behaviour of concern need to be addressed.
The initial behaviour consultation involves a discussion about the horse’s lifestyle and history, the horse’s general health, the behaviour problem and how it developed, as well as other behaviours, situations or aspects of the horse’s life that you may not have realised could be contributing to the problem.
