AVA Conference May 2014
Attending the Australian Veterinary Association Conference this year was of great benefit to increasing professional development, with many informative presentations by Dr Gary Landsberg, who we were lucky to have out from Toronto, Canada. There were also lectures by many Australian veterinary behaviourists, including Dr Kersti Seksel, Dr Gabrielle Carter, Dr Jacqui Ley, Dr Debbie Calnon, Dr Trepheena Hunter and Dr Katherine McMillan. In the field of behaviour medicine, keeping up-to-date with the current science is vital as the field is always progressing: We are regularly learning more about or furry friends, which is very important since we wish to give them good homes, live harmoniously and enjoy a strong and caring owner-pet relationship.
