A great loss: Dr Sophia Yin will be missed

The veterinary community and many pet owners around the world have benefitted greatly from the advice and education offered by Dr Sophia Yin.

She has helped the world recognise the importance of behaviour medicine and has used media to show many pet owners and veterinarians the benefits of positive reinforcement training techniques as well as minimal restraint handling. Through her worm, many people have come to understand and recognise signs of fear and anxiety in pets. She has helped to promote many aspects of veterinary behaviour medicine.

Such a happy and positive person to the rest of the world, so many of us are in a state of shock by her passing at such a young age. To learn that the cause of death was suicide has been even more difficult.

Her legacy will live on through the many many videos that help every behaviourist and trainer to show the world what is possible.
